PREST, C. St. Clair, Pictou - Beloved brother, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, St. Clair passed away on January 6, 2023, at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born March 12, 1942, in Moose River Gold Mines, he lived most of his life in Pictou. Kind and calming, passionate and ever curious, St. Clair saw beauty everywhere and spent his life sharing it. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Paula (MacNeill); children, Christian (Christine Booth), Gregory (Paolo Santalucia), and Sarah (Benjamin Crotty); grandchildren, Alexis, Seth, Luke, Nora, and Hugo; great-grandchild, Chandler; siblings, George (Janice) and Irma Stewart; sisters-in-law, Brenda and Fiona; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by parents, Charles and Annie Prest; siblings, Marina Reynolds, Blaine and Dale; brothers-in-law, Russell MacNeill, Michael Stewart, and William Reynolds. Special thanks to the local VON, paramedics, and medical staff at Aberdeen Hospital for all their kindness and caregiving. Visitation will take place at McLaren Funeral Home on Thursday January 12th from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Stella Maris Church on Friday January 13th at 11 a.m. with Father Peter MacDonald officiating.
