The Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit has laid drug charges against three locals.
The New Glasgow Regional Police conducted a traffic stop on April 7 while assisting the enforcement unit in an ongoing drug investigation.
As a result of that stop, police arrested three people for drug-related offences. With assistance from New Glasgow's major crime unit, a search of the vehicle was done, with police finding a large amount of cocaine and methamphetamine.
Police have charged three men, ages 38, 25 and 27, all with possession of both cocaine and methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking. The 27-year-old is also charged with failing to attend court.
Police released two men from custody with court appearances set for a later date. The third individual was to appear in court on April 8.
