Stellarton Police Service is investigating a shooting that occurred early Friday morning.

Police responded at about 1:10 a.m. to a report of shots fired in the area of Foster Avenue and Foord Street.

Officers discovered multiple bullets struck a house. No injuries have been reported, and police remained on scene Friday afternoon.

Troy Kyle lives across Foster Avenue from the dwelling in question. He said he was watching television while on the phone at the time.

“I heard some loud music,” he said. “It sounded like it was from a vehicle, and I heard some doors slam on a vehicle. I’m surprised I didn’t hear gun shots.”

Kyle has lived in the neighbourhood for two years. He said the area has changed within the last year with different residents in the dwelling.

“It’s busy all the time,” he said.

The matter is in the early stages of the investigation and anyone with information about the incident or video from the area is asked to contact Stellarton police at 902-752-1125.
