Police in New Glasgow have arrested and charged three teenaged boys from Pictou County as part of an investigation into thefts of vehicles.

New Glasgow Regional Police arrested the three teenagers after several reports of stolen vehicles and property damage to compost bins. The incidents occurred between June 6 and 8 throughout New Glasgow.

Police say all vehicles stolen have been recovered.

An 18-year-old male was charged with three counts of theft of a motor vehicle, three counts of possession of property over $5,000 obtained by crime, four counts of trespassing at night, and 19 counts of mischief.

A 15-year-old boy was charged with three counts each of theft of a motor vehicle and possession of property over $5,000 obtained by crime, as well as four counts of trespassing at night, 19 counts of mischief, and one count each of breaching a probation order and dangerous driving.

A 14-year-old boy is facing three counts of theft of a motor vehicle, three counts of possession of property over $5,000 obtained by crime, four counts of trespassing at night and 19 counts of mischief. 

All three teenagers remain in custody and are to appear in provincial court on June 13.

New Glasgow Regional Police continue to investigate.
