A man and woman, both from Pictou County, are charged with possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking following a search of a hotel room earlier this month.
The Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit searched a Pictou hotel room at roughly 10 p.m. on June 22 in relation to a drug trafficking investigation. Police seized suspected cocaine and methamphetamine, as well as cash.
A 35-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man were arrested at the scene without incident and later released on conditions. They will appear in court at a later date. Both have been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.
