Police have charged a 52-year-old man from Pictou County following two calls of someone in possession of a gun and uttering threats.
New Glasgow Regional Police responded around 7:12 p.m. on Feb. 17 to a Little Harbour Road home after a call of a man believed to have a gun and uttering threats. Stellarton police officers assisted in the response.
Police say the man left the home and attempted to drive away, however police immediately arrested the man.
No one was injured and police didn't find a gun.
Police charged the man with uttering threats, impaired operation of a motor vehicle and failing to comply with a release order. He was released on an undertaking.
Roughly 24 hours later, New Glasgow police received a call from the same home about the same man possibly having a gun and uttering threats.
Police arrested the man without incident and charged him with uttering threats and failing to comply with a release order.
Again, no one was injured and police were unable to locate a gun.
The man was to appear in provincial court in Pictou on Feb. 21.
Police continue to investigate both incidents.
