Attempted robbery suspect

New Glasgow Regional Police has released this surveillance photo of a suspect in a Sept. 23 attempted robbery at the Wilson Gas Bar on Marsh Street.

Police in New Glasgow are looking for a male suspect in an attempted robbery that occurred in the evening of Sept. 23.

At 9:45 p.m., New Glasgow Regional Police responded to the Wilson Gas Bar on Marsh Street after an unknown adult man walked in carrying a shovel and demanded cigarettes.

Police say the suspect immediately fled the area on foot following a brief verbal altercation with a staff member.

New Glasgow Regional Police describe the suspect as:

  • an adult male approximately five feet 10 inches tall
  • medium build
  • wearing a blue hoodie with white letters 'UNH Hockey'
  • wearing yellow plaid pants, black sneakers and black and yellow gloves.
