Highway crashes

The Pictou County District RCMP has responded to four motor vehicle collisions today along highway 104 in Pictou County.

Police are asking motorists to drive for the weather conditions, although they did not indicate the crashes were weather-related.

They also did not specify if the crashes were on two-lane or four-lane sections of  the highway.Rain at times heavy has been falling on the area for much of the day, but it is forecast to diminish into the evening and overnight.

They are cautioning motorists that hydroplaning can happen quickly and be dangerous to one self and other motorists.

Those who see a vehicle leave the roadway unexpectedly, or involved in a collision are being advised to call 911.
