UPDATED: A man reported missing from Trenton on Aug. 10 has been found deceased.

The 57-year-old's death is not believed to be suspicious in nature, however New Glasgow Regional Police continue to investigate.


A 57-year-old man from Trenton has been reported missing.

The New Glasgow Regional Police is asking for the public's help in locating Leon Teal. He was last seen at approximately 1:30 p.m., Aug. 10, on Scotia Street in Trenton.

Police say Teal was planning to go for a hike and has not returned home. His hike location and destination are unknown.

He left his residence driving a 2012 Red Toyota Corolla with a Nova Scotia license plate of GHN 663.

He is described as: 

  • approximately five feet 11 inches tall
  • approximately 190 pounds
  • medium build
  • short black hair
  • brown eyes
  • wearing glasses
  • wearing jeans
  • wearing a plaid short sleeve shirt

New Glasgow Regional Police and those who know him are concerned for his well-being and are asking the public and media to share the information in trying to locate Leon Teal.
