Canada Post has suspended delivery in Antigonish, as well as Inverness and Victoria counties, following severe rainfall this week.

Conditions from flooding has made delivery unsafe for Canada Post's employees.

"The safety of our employees is our number one priority," reads a media advisory sent out via email. "A red service alert means that we are suspending delivery and not sending out our delivery agents. Delivery will resume once conditions improve and it’s safe to do so."

Items with tracking numbers can be checked online at or by using Canada Post's app. Customers can also visit the Delivery service alerts webpage for all active and archived alerts and updates.
