UPDATED: Police say a man and toddler reported missing earlier in the day have been found and are safe.

A search is underway for a three-year-old boy and man last seen Monday morning in Abercrombie.

Police are currently searching for a 36-year-old man and three-year-old boy. They were last seen on the Granton Abercrombie Road at 11 a.m. May 16.  

At approximately 12:15 p.m., RCMP officers located an SUV the man had been driving abandoned on Granton Abercrombie Road. Investigators remain on scene and are currently trying to locate the two.

RCMP Police Dog Services and RCMP Air Services are currently assisting with the search. Ground search and rescue teams are being deployed to the area as well.
