A 32-year-old man from New Glasgow is facing a number of charges following a shooting in Pictou in the early morning hours of May 24.
Gary Cameron is facing charges of careless use of a firearm; carrying a concealed weapon; unauthorized possession of a firearm; possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized; possession of a firearm while prohibited; and failing to comply with a release order.
Cameron was arrested at a New Glasgow home on May 28, four days after the shooting at a commercial lodge. Cameron was injured in the shooting, however police have not disclosed his injuries.
The police investigation has determined a 26-year-old woman was also involved in the incident, and a warrant has been issued for her arrest.
Cameron was to appear in court on May 31.
The investigation into the shooting continues.
