Two cyclists have passed through Pictou County as part of an 8,000-kilometre journey across Canada in support of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) awareness.

Robert Finnegan and his niece, Karley Finnegan, arrived by ferry from P.E.I. last week on their way east through Nova Scotia to North Sydney before another ferry ride to Newfoundland and Labrador. They are from Alberta and began their trip in Victoria, B.C., on May 25. Their goal was to reach St. John’s, Nfld., this week.
