Caribou church up in flames

On Friday March 12, Caribou Fire Department responded to a church fire on Highway 6. The fire began in a trailer next to the church and then spread to the church. Pictou Fire Department, River John Fire Department and Scotsburn Fire Department were called in to assist in controlling the blaze. One truck and 11 firefighters from the Pictou department went to the scene. The RCMP suspects no foul play and no further investigation is being conducted by the Mounties at this point.
