The HMCS Gatineau arrived at Aecon Fabco’s Pictou facilities from Halifax Nov. 19. The Advocate was invited on board for a brief tour.

NewGlasgow Rememberance Day
New Glasgow’s Remembrance Day service included a march of cadets, Highlanders, New Glasgow Police and firemen, legionnaires and RCMP to Carmichael Park, music from the NNEC band and wreath laying. NewGlasgow's Clyde MacDonald was the guest speaker.

Pictou's Remeberance Day ceremonies started off with ta gaurd leading the parade to the cenotaph. Students were on hand for services at the Northumberland Veterans Unit.

Trenton Artworks
Pictou County Writer's Group recently held its open mic night at St. Augustine Anglican church in Trenton.
The church was bought by Joan Krawczyk and converted into a art gallery.
