Pictou County Antique Bottle Club Celebrates 40th Anniversary

Ever wonder about that old bottle or piece of glass on your window sill?

The members of the Pictou County Antique Bottle club may have the answers.
This small group meets on a monthly basis and explores a part of Pictou County history that many have overlooked.
The age range of the membership is 14 to 93 years. The youngest member shares the interest in the bottles with her dad, who has been collecting for 40 years.
Parts of the members collections spent a month last summer on display at Sherbrooke Village.
Bottles collected by the membership range from Avon bottles, ginger beers, medicine bottles to Original Trenton glass to mention a few.
The clubs Annual Bottle show will be held on April 17, 2010 at the Westville Recreation Centre from 12 noon to 4 PM
The public is invited to stop by, bring a treasure and enjoy a piece of history.
