Men arrested in drug seizure

Two men were arrested in Stellarton after drugs were seized from search.
On Thursday, October 4, the Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit (PCISCEU), along with the assistance of the Stellarton Police Services, Pictou County District RCMP and the New Glasgow K9 Unit, executed two CDSA Search Warrants on a residence and a vehicle relating to an ongoing drug investigation in Stellarton.
Two adult males were arrested. A small quantity of cannabis marihuana, methylenedioxpyrovalerone (MDPV) and methamphetamine were seized in relation to this file, along with ammunition and two firearms. Charges included possession of cannabis marijuana, possession of methylenedioxpyrovalerone, possession of methamphetamine, fail to comply with an undertaking, and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
One male was released from custody and will appear in Pictou Provincial Court on January 21, 2013. The second male was brought before the Pictou Provincial Court today (October 5) and has been remanded into custody until October 9.
