Trenton man arrested following standoff

New Glasgow Regional Police Service arreste a Trenton man following a brief standoff in Trenton on Saturday.
At approximately 12:30 p.m., members of the New Glasgow Regional Police Service arrested the 57-year-old man outside his residence in Trenton.
Police received a call of an adult male who had barricaded himself inside his residence.
A small area on Duke Street was quickly cordoned off and the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and a Crisis Negotiation member was brought in to assist. Officers from Stellarton Police Service and Emergency Health Services also provided assistance during this incident.
New Glasgow Regional Police Service members were able to speak to the lone male located in the residence where he was arrested without incident at 3:55 p.m.
