A Westville man and women were arrested on drug charges Wednesday after search warrants were executed.
On August 8, the Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit (PCISCEU) along with assistance of Criminal Intelligence Service Nova Scotia (CISNS), Stellarton and Westville Police services, Pictou County RCMP General Investigation Section, Emergency Response Team and Truro Police K9 Unit executed two search warrants at a residence in Westville.
An adult male and adult female were arrested. A quantity of cannabis marijuana, cannabis resin and prescription pills were seized.
Officers also located a large quantity of an unknown white powder substance that will be sent to Health Canada for analysis.
Currently charges include possession for the purpose of trafficking cannabis resin, possession of cannabis marijuana and possession of resin.
The two have been released from custody and will appear in Pictou Provincial Court in relation to Controlled Drugs and Substance Act charges on December 17.
