Vehicle loses brakes, ends up in harbour

This was the scene Tuesday night at the Hector Heritage Quay after a vehicle lost its brakes on Constitution Street, Pictou, and ended up in Pictou Harbour.
Members of the Pictou County District RCMP responded to the single motor vehicle crash in Pictou. The driver and one passenger of a Chevrolet Cavalier were traveling on Constitution Street when the car’s brakes failed, causing it to crash into Pictou Harbor. The driver and passenger were not injured.
Preliminary investigation reveals the crash was the result of a mechanical failure with the brakes of the car.
