Veterans deserve more respect when it comes to meal preparation

To the Editor:
Regarding the new meal policy… I would like to share this definition of a veteran with you.
Definition of a veteran – Whether active duty, retired, or reserve – is someone who, at one point in his/her life, signed a blank check made payable to “The People of Canada”, for an amount “up to and including my life.”
Now the great policy makers want to stuff garbage down their throats like they have done at the Aberdeen Hospital. I know it is trash, because I was there for two new knees.
The vets who are in the Wing in Pictou have been through it all. Suggest you send someone to do a story on their thoughts about the new deal.
